What should I drink tonight…

Just so we could get a tab on what beers we actually have in the house at any given time, Janet and I decided to take on the undertaking of cataloging our beer reserves.

Oy.

Now I realize why hardly any bars ever match up with our expectations. I mean, if we have a selection like this AT HOME, shouldn't bars strive to have something better?

So, here is a challenge to anybody out there. If you know of a bar that you'd put head to head with this list in New England, let me know. If you succeed in finding a bar that has a bottle list better than what I have at home, you will be praised eternally. If you send me on a wild goose chase, prepare to be hunted down and forced to drink Zima.

First Shots of the New Condo

For all of you nosy sorts out there – here are the first shots of the new Condo della Glasser


The arts-and-crafts style fireplace and mantle in the
great room. The border and grill are most likely the original cast iron
pieces from the 1890s.

 


Our galley kitchen – complete with Jenn-Air convection oven and grill.

On teenage pregnancy

Yeah, I had something extremely witty to write about the whole subject. Actually two things. The first piece was this anti-abortion bumper sticker induced treatise on the economics of abortion that ran on for two pages but never ended up saying anything of real interest. The second talked about the failure of sex ed class for 8 paragraphs or so but for some reason I couldn't get it to really flow well. No matter what I wrote, it looked like I was apologizing for my views. Then I realized that I don't need to justify my stance. So, here it is – Avery's answer to reducing teen pregnancy.

Life, Liberty and…

John Locke said it well before the Founding Fathers corrupted it and put it to parchment. He stated that the inalienable rights of man were Life, Liberty and Property… much more rational than the Pursuit of Happiness if you ask me.

Well, who are we to disagree with John Locke… so we went out and bought a condo.

That's why we've been sort of scarce the last few months… buying a place sort of takes up all of the available mental processes if ya catch our drift. But we're now in and unpacked and we have the stories and battle scars from this move that legends are made of… and you, our faithful readers will get a snootfull of stories over the coming months.
