When we got ready to have dessert tonight, I grabbed the half-gallon of Breyers Light Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream that we just bought and got ready to open it up. What I immediately noticed was that the top of the lid was slashed, like the person cutting open the case ran the knife too deep into the box.
Ok, this won't be a total loss, I thought. As long as the shrinkwrap plastic layer wasn't cut, it is still edible. Nope. No shrinkwrap. Damn.
So, Janet remembers that we have some nice yoghurt in the fridge. I grab the two containers (which we bought last week) and check the dates. November 10 expiration date. Double damn.
At least the cookies are still good.
