Another weekend, another biergarten. This week, Paulaner am Nockherberg. Nockherberg, home of the Paulaner brewery and the ancestral home of the Salvator doppelbock, burned down a few years ago, to be rebuilt just in time for this year’s Starkbierzeit (strong beer season). It’s a beautiful biergarten, with excellent food and great Paulaner bier. Don’t let the pictures fool you. Biergartens, for some reason, are always slow in the early afternoons… but come here in the evenings and be prepared to fight for a seat!
